Docs AI Builder Upload transcript
01
Open the AI Builder
Start from the New guide panel.

From the Sessions dashboard, click + New guide in the left sidebar. In the creation panel that appears, select AI Builder. You'll then be presented with three input options — choose Upload transcript.

02
Upload your transcript or paste text
Supports .txt and .pdf files, or paste directly.

You have two options for getting your content in:

  • Upload a file — drag and drop or browse for a .txt or .pdf file
  • Paste text — copy from any source and paste directly into the text field

Your transcript doesn't need to be perfectly formatted. Rough notes, a full script, or even a lightly edited copy-paste from a document all work fine — the AI will handle the structure.

03
Set your preferences
Tell the AI how to structure the output.

Before generating, you can give the AI a few hints about what you need:

  • Number of sections — roughly how many sections you want the guide split into
  • Tone — formal, conversational, instructional
  • Focus — any specific topics or areas to emphasise
These preferences are optional — leaving them blank will let the AI decide based on the content length and structure.
04
Generate the guide
The AI structures your content into sections.

Click Generate. The AI will read through your transcript, identify natural topic breaks, and create a guide with clear section titles and content. This usually takes 10–30 seconds depending on the length of your input.

05
Review and edit
The AI gives you a first draft — you make it yours.

Once generated, you'll land in the standard guide editor with your new sections pre-populated. Read through each section and make any adjustments:

  • Rename sections if the AI's titles don't quite fit
  • Trim or expand content to match how you'd actually deliver it
  • Reorder sections by dragging in the sidebar
  • Delete any sections that aren't relevant

When you're happy, the guide saves automatically and is ready to use.
